Pop This 'n' Lock That (Frédérique | The Lady Fred) 3 hrs €60,- (F1)

This class will guide and drill you through the fundamentals in what pop 'n' lock means, applying it to your dance through resistance and control. Pop 'n' locking is not just about slamming parts of your body from one place to another. The intricacies and detailed control of your body is what Frédérique will go over in order for you to get the most out of the technique.

One of Europe's best kept secrets is tribal fusion bellydance troupe Les Soeurs Tribales from Italy. With a basis in Gypsy Caravan this troupe has taken her own view on fusion bellydance. Come and learn exclusive steps and combos created by Les Soeurs Tribales. In this workshop we will be using basic tribal bellydance old school moves and brand new and exciting steps and combos.

In the safe and private surroundings of New Dance Studios, The Uzumé offers an informal 'stage' for the novice performer (beginner or intermediate). A 'try-out' for an intimate audience of colleagues, fellow students, friends and/or family (50 max). Professional feedback is possible on request. Spaces are Limited! Living for Layering (Frédérique | The Lady Fred) 2 hrs €40,- (F2)

Frédérique's comprehensive approach to what makes layering delectable to your spectators, and why. We will work on articulating our hips and chest assisted by technique and fluidity and add other flourishes to express the moment in the music. The frame work of your articulations; head, arm and leg placement will be heavily scrutinized.

11:00 - 13:00 hrs:
Delicate Details (Daniela) 2 hrs €40,- (D1)

This class is designed to help you perfect your performance. Even though technique is crucial, delicate details make a huge difference in a performance. This workshop will cover aspects such as facial expressions, evoking emotion, stage presence, using space, connecting with your audience, keeping your audience interested and arm placement.

13:30 - 15:30 hrs:
Charm Arms (Frédérique | The Lady Fred) 2 hrs €40,- (F3)

Learn Frédérique's individual and unique approach to arms, upper-body gesticulation and, more importantly, exploration to help you find your own style through your frame work.
Apply your personality and expression through dance with arms with torso, shoulders and head subtleties for defined and/or refined expression, right down to your fingertips.

13:30 - 15:30 hrs:
LST Contemporary Fusion (Les Soeurs Tribales) 2 hrs €40,- (S2)

Les Soeurs Tribales are known for their refined and elegant combination of old school tribal bellydance with contemporary dance, fusion and theatricality. This workshop focuses on their contemporary fusion technique, combos & choreography.
